The design
The Ishtar Gate was the ceremonial entrance to ancient Babylon, built around 575 BCE under King Nebuchadnezzar II and decorated with sacred bulls, dragons, and lions in vivid glazed brick. The ancient city of Babylon was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019. Read more
